New sports video games kid around - September 9, 2008 - Video game makers are tossing virtual baseballs, footballs and basketballs at kids these days, hoping young 'uns will catch sports fever on their gaming systems just as their big brothers and dads have with the big-boy titles. Store shelves are loaded with new games obviously aimed at a younger crowd and their game-buying parents, who have been taught by the Nintendo Wii that fun games with non-threatening, cutesy characters are cool.
